The Photobook III on show in Madrid

Throughout April the Ivorypress bookshop will display rare titles featured in Martin Parr and Gerry Badger's book

The Ivorypress bookshop is no stranger to art displays. This Madrid retail space, at 48 Comandante Zorita, next door to the Ivorypress gallery, specialises in photography and artists' books, and its shelves are always worth a browse.

However, throughout April, the shop will host a special display in its entrance, showcasing around 30 titles that feature in our new book The Photobook: A History Volume III. The exhibition, which features such publications as The Afronauts; Coexistence; A Period of Juvenile Prosperity and On the Sixth Day is a great way of demonstrating what a dynamic and wide-ranging a form the photobook has evolbed into.

And, if you're more used to conventional bookshop browsing, then you're in luck; this is one exhibition where you can look and touch. As the store's director Valerie Maasburg tell us, "our staff will be more than happy to open the cabinet doors and let you take a closer look at these books that are now part of the history of photobooks."
